Our Mission

The Gbenga Odugbemi Scholarship Fund (GOSF) was founded with a profound purpose: to provide essential financial support to underprivileged students aspiring to attend the Nigerian Law School. We are committed to empowering future legal professionals who face significant financial hurdles, ensuring that their dreams are not deferred due to economic challenges.

Our Story

GOSF was established by Gbenga Odugbemi, a former scholarship recipient who benefited greatly from such support during his educational journey (e.g. Gbenga was a recipient of a fully-funded scholarship targeted at Africans by the Edinburgh Law School, UK in 2014). Recognizing the transformative impact of scholarships on his own life, Gbenga created GOSF as a means of paying it forward and helping the next generation of law graduates achieve their goals.

Who We Support

Currently, GOSF is dedicated to supporting undergraduate law graduates who are in dire financial need and intend to enroll in the Nigerian Law School in the upcoming academic year. Our scholarship is uniquely designed to prioritize students based on their academic classifications, in the following order:

a. Third Class graduates
b. Second Class Lower graduates
c. Second Class Upper graduates

By focusing on these categories, GOSF aims to provide opportunities to those who might be overlooked by traditional scholarship programs.

Our Vision

While our current focus is on law graduates, GOSF has a broader vision for the future. We aspire to extend our scholarship support to graduates from other fields, expanding our impact and helping more students from diverse backgrounds overcome financial barriers to education.
